The Letkeman Family
Pastor Jacob Letkeman grew up in Tillsonburg, Ontario. He made a profession of salvation at a young age but truly gave his heart to the Lord at the age of 16. He met his wife Jennie at Camp Y.E.S. when he was 13 and she was 12. They knew of each other, and participated in several events together such as camps, conventions and youth rallies throughout their formative years. They became re-acquainted, eventually dating while attending FaithWay Baptist College of Canada and were married upon graduation in June of 1998.
Following their wedding they both worked full time secular jobs and helped full time in ministry to the best of their ability. They were involved in a Missionary Church plant in Ancaster, Ontario for two years before moving back to Ajax, Ontario in 2000. At FaithWay they continued to work secular jobs while working in the children's ministry, which included starting a new Sunday School bus route. It was in the summer of 2001 after their first son arrived that they began to search for opportunities to work toward only full time ministry somewhere in Canada. They have been blessed with five children throughout their ministry with the last four being born in Dryden, Ontario where they currently minister.
Pastor Letkeman came to Dryden, Ontario as a candidate to Emmanuel Baptist Church in November 2001 and was voted in December of that year. He was brought on staff as the Assistant Pastor & Youth Pastor on January 15th, 2002. In 2004 Pastor Letkeman became Interim Pastor for a few years and was then voted in as Senior Pastor on April 25th, 2007. He has been faithfully serving in the city of Dryden through Emmanuel Baptist Church since 2002. Pastor Letkeman has a love for the people and place that God has called him to serve. He leads with a genuine concern for drawing others into a personal relationship with Christ. Encouraging Those who love the Lord to:
